    Anyone running majek Texas slam?

Looking at possibly pulling the trigger on a 21’ Texas slam with a 150 vmax on it anyone running a similar setup? Pros and cons?

If that boat has been taken care of which it looks like it from the pics you can’t go wrong. Classic all around hull design, Majek quality and the right brand of engine on the back. If that boat fits into your budget from the other thread that’s a steal.

Those are great boats. Very similar in design to Mowdy and El Pescador though the keel isn’t quite as aggressive as a pescador. My best friend runs a Mowdy and it’s a great boat for the mid coast. I believe the tunnel is a bit larger on the Slam than the Mowdy. You can run offshore on smooth days and fish some pretty skinny water as well. These boats can swap ends on you when running skinny so be mindful of that while getting used to it.

TRP that motor and you’ll be set!

Is this the same wife that was telling you to go get a new boat a few days ago? Shouldn't take much, hahaha

That is a nice rig Chris.

After you buy that I know of a nice place for sale about a mile from Paradise Cove in Rockport, buy that too so we have a place to stay.

Very similar to an explorer. Good all around boat. Cousin has owned one for 3 years now and hasn’t had any complaints.

Hold out on her that's what I did I'm still waiting [emoji16]. Don't know anything about the boat but it looks very clean by the pictures.
