Here’s more info. I know very little about the lingo that goes into our program that was built for us. We already have the program built and is maintained by a programmer we’ve used for years. He’s somewhat retiring and we are looking for someone to help maintain the program. The program is designed to randomly select drivers who are in our “ pool”. These are CDL drivers who are required to be randomly selected to take drug and alcohol test. The government requires a certain percentage of drivers ( in the pool) to be picked. There’s a few other things that we utilize this program for that are time sensitive for each driver.

From the limited amount that I know about programming , I’m informed that the program is written in “ Scala” and the “ play framework”. Other terms are “ GXT WIDGETS” and “ GWPT FRAMEWORK”

Not sure if this makes sense but that’s what I know.

Please let me know if anyone could help us out. Thanks

Yup GWT framework. I actually use this at work. Unfortunately I'm happily employed, and dont know many people that use it anymore since Angular is the new "in" thing.

Honestly, look for a good java developer and they'll be able to pick it up pretty good if they're worth their salt.

Also seems like you're just looking to maintain the stuff. You looking to contract?

We do need some other things to be developed and after that it would just need to be maintained.

You really need your "retiring" programmer to jot down the pertinent jargon for folks that come in behind him. His lingo would be very helpful for others.

also.. you may want to look into commercial off the shelf products that you can plug-n-play in your system.

I am not much help as I am an old COBOL programmer.(yes, we still exist )

Control-Alt-Delete...or just hold down the power button for about 5 seconds. Slamming your mouse makes it better. Hope that helps.

Try Connect Technologies, https://ctay.net/ for your programming, they do really good work

I m not sure if your project is a good fit for them but they can probably point you in the right direction.
