    Check engine light.......2003 Tahoe

    Mechanics in the house?

Was changing the plugs and screwed up one of the wires. Had to drive 2 miles or so to get a new wire. Everything's running fine now, but the check engine light hasn't cleared from running it on 7 cylinders. Anyone know how to reset it?

    Thanks

    Try disconnecting your battery.

Tried that, but code still didn't clear. Thinking maybe it resets itself in time?

You have to disconnect the negative post only for about a minute or too.
        Not the positive or both.

Take it to Auto Zone. They outta be able to run the codes and clear them.
