    Lake Conroe Kayak Fishing

    Long time no see, GS!

I'm finally getting back into doing some bass fishing and was hoping some folks here would have some tips for the lake. Specifically, kayak fishing. We live near the dam close to 105 so that area is of the most interest to me.

    Thanks in advance!

Hit the docks and the entire south side of 105. You could also just join me at the coast?

The Ike-ster! Have not seen that name here in a while. Good to see you back.

If you want to fish a little further north, drive up to stow-a-way marina and launch there. There is big “pond” that is protected from the main lake you can paddle til your hearts content. Decent fishing too.

Like someone else said. Fish the docks on the south side is a good option as well.

The only time I kayaked Conroe, I went to stubble field area, to stay away from boat traffic.
