Smoked Salmon Question...

Got my salmon in a dry brine since yesterday. I was supposed to smoke it today but plans have changed.

Can I leave it in the brine or should I rinse it off and wait until I can smoke it?

If it was with brown sugar, rinse and let dry. Then put in the fridge.
