    Top end vortex binos opinions

I was looking through a pair compared to some Swarovski and I thought the vortex were comparebale, those of y’all that have some vortex, let me know what y’all like and dislike, thanks

My dad has the razor HD 10x42. I have a pair of Swarovski EL HD 10x42. The razors are really nice for the money. However, they don’t hold a candle to the EL glass. Are the ELs worth twice the price? Probably not to most. Swaro warranty will cover you even on the occasional stupid moment. Vortex gets to practice their warranty a lot so they are good at it . You can’t go wrong with either. The ELs are the best of the best.

Razor HDs are dang good binos but nothing compares to Swaro ELs. However Razors are less than half the price so you wont be sad about buying Razors.

I'd personally rather buy Mavens over Vortex in that price range but Razors are good to go.

Yep compared with my buddies Razors on an elk hunt and the eye fatigue was noticeable

This is 100@% spot on. Nothing else compares to the Swaro glass IMO.

If you’re looking to spend $1,000 but not Swaro $, I’d look at Zeiss, Meopta, and Maven before Vortex.

SLCs are killer glass, not quite as good as the ELs but then again they are almost half the price. If you can afford the SLCs, I'd go with those over the Vortex, but if you can't then you likely won't be sad you bought the Razors.

I spend a lot of time behind glass. Last year was a whole
Season behind the razors. They leave you wanting more. On bright days they’re good. But low light they’ll leave you wishing you had better glass. Spend a little more buy swarvo if you can. Leica is nice also

I’m considering selling my Razor 10x50s and buying a set of the new Razor UHD 12x50s. Not sure how they compare to ELs yet (I do fully expect the EL to be a step above), but they’ll be good enough for me if they’re better than what I’m already more than happy with. I normally don’t buy anything for its warranty, but I’ll make an exception for binos. I’m hard on binoculars and I prefer the Vortex warranty.

Compare them at dusk and not in the store.

I've got Cabela's Euros (made by Meopta as mentioned by Gatorgrizz) but never compared them side by side to Swarovski. I've never heard a complaint about Swarovski and if you have the funds, you won't regret them. Also, treat it like life insurance, you'll have them for the rest of your life, may as well spend the money and have them for several decades until you upgrade for your old man eyes 30 years from now.

You'll use your binos way more than your gun and how much thought do most put into a gun?

I carry both in my backpack, I had the Vortex, then upgraded to the Swaros.

At first light the Vortex get handed over to my annoying client while I continue to watch the deer.

They aren't even close in low light, and I generally would consider myself a Vortex fan.....
