New to bowhunting. Would like to find a shop that will work with a newbie. For instance one that doesn't mind giving pointers and helping me out with purchasing a new bow. I have not been to any shops. Like I said a really green newbie!! Any suggestions?

May be better to make a phone call and tell them your situation and have them recommend a slow time when you can come in so they will be able to spend more one on one time with ya. Good luck.

I have not received or witnessed good service from this shop. Does not have a lot of products available in shop and therefore has to order them. Not a big deal if orders are submitted to the supplier in a timely manner (more often than not it isn't).

I wondered if it was a customers bow?????
Needless to say, I won't be back.
That was this year too by the way.
Viking Archery has a bad rep as well, friend of mine just had a bow setup there 3 days ago. Something wasn't right, he took it to Bow Zone and turns out the cams were out of time
And the rest was not strait. They lazer the bow and the arrow set at the end 1/2" off.
My experiance with Viking was being told when you change draw length on a dxt from 30" to 28.5" the string would have to be changed as well. Turns out that is not true.
Don't get me wrong. Some love these shops. But others have seen issues.
I'm not here to bash any of them, I'm only stating facts that i know are true and not hear say.

When you buy a bow? Friday night around 5:30 to 7:00?
If so I seen you, I walked in and a guy left with a new bow about 20 minutes after I was there.Last edited by tx07; 02-15-2009, 09:29 PM.
