Agreed. Great company, but they’re proud of their products for sure $$

That said, are you familiar with this material? Would be nice to not have to douse my clothes in DEET each visit.

Their stuff is premium priced but the last pair of waders I had from them lasted 12 years

I’m not sure what they treat it with but it works pretty well. I’ve fished the sierras in Ca and nv and northern nv where I usually get tore up with bugs and had good results with the bug stopper stuff

It’s way better than the line that Cabela’s came out with a couple years ago. Those shirts were no different than the regular fishing shirts to me at 2x the price.

It’s called Permethrin, it’s what ever company with a insect repellent shirt uses. You can apply it yourself to any clothing piece.

              Academy carries Swayers spray bottles

Without a doubt, but their stuff lasts and lasts and they're customer service is the best there is.

I would bet Simms clothing works great. But, I have used Permethrin for years with excellent results. I spray my clothes and boots with it in the spring and summer and it works great. I walked around the tick-infested woods and in tall grass and weeds all last weekend and didn't pick up a tick or a chigger.

They say their repellant works for the life of the shirts. Permethrin lasts about 5-7 washes... And just FYI I do use permethrin and it doesn’t workin Victoria skeeters!
