Tasajillo Bowhunting Ranch in Sweetwater TX

Wanted to see if anyone has ever been to this ranch, me and some buddies are going in April, any info. would be great...thanks

I hunted that ranch a few years ago. I had a great time. Saw lots of pigs and exotics. Bunkhouse is nice.

I hunted it while it was still under Buster Vickers. He was an excellent host. The ranch is small, but rugged enough to allow for an adequately challenging hunt. I've been considering going back for another round. Had a fallow buck mill around my stand for about 15 or 20 minutes. The hogs never came in range and that was all I was after. I really liked the cabin too.

I see the guy around town and would like to check it out. For real input PM NSBowhunter he is a taxidermist here in Sweetwater and knows a bit about the place which is north of town. He's taxi'd animals from there too which might be some insight to what's out there quality wise.

Is Buster not there any more? Lots of pig action there and not push overs either .

Thanks for the info. I have had a few friends hunt the ranch before and they had pretty good luck, took a few pigs, just wanted to see if anyone else had any info. Well I will let yall all know how it went when I get back!

I pulled up the website and couldn't find his name mentioned anywhere on it. Buster seemed to be good people. I think he lived down around San Antone.
