I bought it used on here from fowltrouble2 on 7/5/19. We did a FTF sales in Forney @ 530. I turned it on after we parted ways and I couldn't se NOTHING I was super bummed. He gave me his external battery pack. I could see the screen and icons could cycle through the menu and such but couldn't see anything. I was bummed. I was fixing to call him and I learned something important, one of many, I had this problem several times last night. You need to remove the Objective lens cover before looking through it. Remove the objective lens cover before looking through the scope.
I didn't have a chance to mount it or sight it in. I was using it as a Handheld scanner.
Here's how the first night out went.
I spent more than an hour monkeying with it trying to get the Stock IR Illuminator aligned with the crosshairs. It was frustrating. I'd seen all kinds of videos on this scope and I was excited I was able to get this one. yet bummed cause I wasn't seeing what hey showed.
I had read the owners manual, kinda, before heading out. I knew the light has 3 settings, High Med, and Low. None which seemed to help. I could almost see the feeder, than id stand up an couldn't.
I had cell service so I downloaded the PDF Manual. So I learned he IR Illuminator starts off with Lo than Med than Hi and MOST IMPORTANTLY the flashlight has a focusable beam!! I next played with that. GAME CHANGER. I learned that on spot light there is lines you can see in the scope. I adjusted the flashlight til they were on the feeder and I could SEE. I next stood up and I could SEE!!!! I was happy happy happy.
On low there was still a lot of light being reflected back by the trees, so I widened the beam of the flashlight and that helped a lot by diffusing the light.
I took multiple video of landmarks and such to test the range with the stock IR illuminator.
I like this video.

In it you can see a fence @ 150 yds, I think Huntstand APP says 152.4yds. I have a Vortex Viper HST 6-24X50 scope mounted on my rifle. I use a Sniper Hawg Light 6LRX with the red bulb to do my night hunting. I can the trees with it but not the fence. One of my hunting buddies has an ATN Thor Thermal scope. I don't believe he can see the fence. to me that's just an interesting observation nothing more.
So I need to go get more batteries so I can sight it in and maybe hunt with it tonight.
I'll keep updating
