Any brisket sales going?

Not sure on brisket but my bride picked up some nice ribs on sale at Kroger’s.

I went by Kroger yesterday and picked up 2 briskets and some ribs. The brisket (choice) was on sale for 2.99/lb and the ribs (baby back or st Louis) were 1.69/lb limit 2. I asked the meat counter sales person about sales for next week and he said there weren't any. Not sure but he said he already had the sales ad for next week.

I was looking also but didn't find anything really good. I picked up 2 at Kroger yesterday for $1.99 per pound. Not great but my guests are not going hungry.

Why would you say that? I've never seen them do the same thing twice and I've been looking for a lot of years...

Grocery stores release a new circular every Wednesday for the following week including the weekend that runs through that next Tuesday.


New circular should be in mail today.

Sounds like a guy trying to get you to buy what you had. If that's truly the case then its time to look at Albertsons, HEB, Brookshires or whoever.

Its not guaranteed of course but I am hedging my bets since last weeks stuff was so weak. I need 4-5 to get me through dove season and opening deer season cooks....

Looks like they are going with 99 cent spareribs this year as their get you in the store meat...
