1 acre at the moment on my 70 acres. Plan to have a total of about 3 acres once I clear more areas.

I don't have the funds or the means to grow large plots. I have plenty area to do so, just not the funds. So i figured a smaller plot done well is better than a bigger plot that grows thin.

So for me its purple top turnips, oats, and beans in a 30 yard long by 15 yard wide plot. And it congregates the deer into a range that i can reach any of it with my bow.

              Good thread with good info!

Are these fields for multi-use? Would the size change if you were targeting dove? Would elevation matter any? The lease is 1500 acres through the hills and has a few points with around 200 feet of elevation change. I've noticed hogs don't go up on the hills, but there are certainly deer.
