Stolen items recovered : Take a look

If you had some trailers, kayaks, travel trailer, or excavator stolen, you might check this out. Just putting it out there.

On June 17, 2019 a BCSO deputy was dispatched to a business on E. State Highway 71 in Spicewood in reference to theft and burglary of a vehicle. The complainant stated in the early morning hours of June 17, 2019 a person entered the property from the area of CR 423. The person stole three Kayaks, a flatbed utility trailer and a handgun from an employee’s vehicle. On June 18, 2019 Burnet County investigators assigned to The Heart of Texas Auto Theft Task Force received information from a citizen that provided a possible suspect. Auto theft investigators and Burnet County deputies were familiar with the suspect and went to his property in the 1100 block of Longhorn Drive in an attempt to locate the suspect and stolen property. After arriving at the property and during further investigation neither the suspect nor the stolen property from Spicewood were located. However, auto theft investigators and Burnet County deputies located and recovered a stolen 2018 Sprinter travel trailer, a stolen 2013 BigTex dump trailer and a stolen 2013 Kubota mini excavator that were stolen out of Travis and Williamson Counties. Value of all property recovered is over $100,000. During further investigation, auto theft investigators contacted the Houston Police Department and requested their assistance. Houston Police later recovered the flatbed trailer and Kayaks stolen from the Spicewood business. Houston Police also arrested Cory Madison Kellett and charged him with the theft of the flatbed trailer and Kayaks. Kellett is facing further charges for the theft of the items that were located on his property and burglary of a vehicle. As of this date the handgun has not been recovered. Anyone with information pertaining to this case can contact ATTF Investigator Chad Taliaferro at 512-756-8080 or ctaliaferro@burnetsheriff.com.
