I am having the fifth annual youth hunt on my ranch in Rusk county this coming fall. The ranch is a 400 HF with Red stags, Axis, Blkbuck and WTs, it is located approximately 25 miles NW of Nacogdoches.
This post is to make TBHer's aware of this hunting opportunity, we have had TBHer's participate in the past and everyone enjoyed it very much.
The hunt is intended for youth that have limited hunting experience or limited access to deer hunting. The past hunts have had a very high success rate. The hunt is for WT doe.
The hunt is scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 11-13, 2019
The hunt will be for 5 youth on a first completed registration basis.
The youth must have completed a hunter safety course, be between 8-17 years of age, a parent or guardian must accompany the youth on the hunt.
Weapon must be zeroed before arriving for the hunt, minimum caliber .243
The hunt will be from Friday evening with RV or tent camping for the participants, RVs must be self contained. Hunting will be from comfortable 6x8' box blinds sited on food plots with feeders. There will be a guide with each hunter and parent.
Cleaning facilities are available, as is a walk in cooler.
We will hunt Saturday morning and evening, then again Sunday morning.
Meals, snacks and drinks will be provided. Campfire weather permitting.
Game warden will be present and talk with youth about wildlife management on Saturday.
Registration for the hunt is now open, to get further information and sign up.
Please call Aaron Alton at 903-445-2584.
