I have one, 20’ with 75hp Yamaha. Top speed 35-36 mph. Hauled about1000# of concrete in it when I owned cabin in marsh had no problem getting on plain. When I bought it added lot of options and extended both back and front decks. They are good well built boats. I am planning to sell my bass boat and flats boat to buy there aluminum bass boat.

I had Kent Saxon make me a couple over the years, the first was back when he was still a police officer. I had a 1644 and a 1854 tunnel built but both were running mudmotors, if I needed another aluminum boat built I would not hesitate to give them a call.

I have a buddy selling his now. I have hunted out of his and another one just like it. Two men could possibly hunt out of the boat with a blind depending on size. We don’t though. The only reason he is selling is he is getting a new one with a different motor and set up. If you want the details PM me.

I am looking at a center console with an outboard motor not really for hunting just running in the bay and in the trinity river.

They are good boats. Better quality than then mass manufactured boats like grizzly and xpress, etc.

There are alot of custom builders that are cheaper and just as good or better quality.

We did run an outboard on the 1854, this hull had the round chine and I think due to that it had a problem staying on step. They do make them with square chines and would be a better setup if running a outboard.

My buddy has one that I've hunted out of over a dozen times. It's been a great boat for him. Think its a 2005 model. He's got a Mud Buddy on the back. I think his is a 17' hull.
