Kistler Rods are made in my home town, I have 3 of them and would not buy another brand. They are the best rods I have ever used hands down.

Kistler Custom Fishing Rods is a key leader in the fishing industry after 21 years. Find the perfect fishing rod for your application. Search by bait/lure type, species, length, best sellers, and more. 5-star rated, and #1 in custom fishing rods, Kistler is the leader in handcrafted fishing rods. Crafted in the USA.

                      Crow Series Custom Rods. www.crowseriesrods.com

Call Laithen Crow and ask him about a custom Hybrid. Super rods.

Your dad sounds like me. Get him a Sarge. He will leave all the other rods at home. Freebird is my favorite.

I’ve been fishing Falcon for close to 20 years and have never had a problem until a buddy broke a Cara on a hook set. I think he set the hook on a dock we were fishing but he swears he didn’t. I called falcon and of course I didn’t register it so they said they would give me $85 towards a new rod if I sent in the shaft just above the handle. I figured that was fair but the lady I talked too came off as a biotch and she was supposed to get back to me or was going to send me something and never did. I ended up buying a replacement Cara but have been looking for a replacement rod company since.

Sarge is looking pretty good so far.

Don't rule out Waterloo just because all these Houston boys say their local place. Waterloo is #1 on the coastal bend. Great product and great customer service.

Agree and they still do custom rods (not the ones you buy at academy).
