Anybody run a JH Performance Boats BX253? Wondering how they perform.

I have a buddy that runs an Outlaw 230X with a E2 250 and he loves it.

I have a buddy who has one. He likes it. It's not for me though. Their 25' Outlaw would be better for my uses. It has a ton of room. The only negative is the outboard selection. I don't want an Evinrude and it really could do with something bigger than a 250 SHO.

How many of you recommending the X3 have fished out of one? Do y'all like how it handles or are you just saying it is the boat to get based on watching an internet video and looking at it at the boat show?

When I see them running in person it looks like they run like a barge. I don't think I could get it around some of the curves I run into some of the back lakes I fish.

A lot of opinions on boats here, of the boats recommended, curious to know who actually owns the specific boat?

OP,

The best thing your friend can do is look at a lot of boats. And no matter what boat he chooses, make sure he gets it with the right size engine. Nothing worse than an under powered boat.

They aren’t 100% perfect for every application, no boat is. But it covers a pretty dang large portion that the OP asked about

We fish out of a Ranger 2510 Bay with a 300hp G2. Fish the bay and lake seems to do well at both. Still towable with an F250.

I have a 2400 blazer bay that I fish everything from Galveston offshore to Port Mansfield, but now looking at the X3 I want one!!! Lol

Nope, for what he wants get the best custom aluminum out there. A 20-24 foot Boat Right with 250 of his choice. Will still be using it 20 years from now. Good website with lots of pics.
