I’m having one built in Hachie (since Feb 25th!!!) and got several bids. Most were in line with each other and one was twice as much as the others.
    Who gave you that bid?

40x50 with 15x50 lean to was quoted right at 50k to me. It was supposed to be engineered slab bc of city limits and spanning more than 24’, but we had planned to get around that with 2 support posts on the middle I beam truss that bolt onto the floor. When I say bolt onto the floor I mean that I was going to weld wedge anchors to some base plates that made them look bolted, then once the I Spector left chop those supports off up top and throw them in the scrap hopper...

          Call him for a price.

Build mine about 4 or 5 years ago. Shop is 30x40 with 20x30 carpot and a 6x12 side porch. Roof of building is 30x60. Concrete is the same. 20k with concrete included as well as them putting it up. Turnkey. They are out of Arkansas and build all over central texas. It took them 1 week to build.
Link isn't working. This sounds exactly what I need including size.

Edit: Looks like they closed down.

Mike Tatom, my son, does exactly what you are describing out of Kingsland, TX. Engineering drawings and 10+ years in the business. You can call them 325-388-5752. Their largest building to date is over 4,000 sq ft.

That seems pretty much in line with what I’ve been quoted around here. I would love to see $20/ft with and engineered slab, plumbing, and all. But closer to $30 is usually where it ends up. Never a terrible idea to price shop, just make sure you are getting good comparisons and don’t let the cheap guys justify leaving stuff out that someone else said is necessary. Odds are, it probably is.

Based on my shop build it doesn’t sound out of line when you throw in the dirt work, engineered slab, lean to and wains coating. You have a LOT of roll up doors too. Why so many? They take up valuable wall space. I’m wondering where you are going to put stuff.

You have 40 linear feet of wall space taken up in roll up doors.

I did my 30x50x16 with 16x50 lean to, full gutters, (2) 12x14 garage doors (one with an opener) and a 3070 walk in door, spray foam insulation, slab and dirt work with road base under the lean to for about $44k.
