and all the regular heads as well..
Figured some of you folks looking for a good hat might be able to use this review so here it goes.
I have no connections with this company whatsoever. This is merely a heads up to those folks with big heads (and big brains
) that have had similar problems as me through the years of finding a quality hat to protect your ears and neck at the lease, on the boat or in the field. I was actually helping FND at an outdoor Boy Scout of America fishing event and saw a guy with a similar buckethead like me and noticed he had a really nice hat that looked like it wasn't wedged on lol. So.. I struck up a conversation with him about his hat and he told me all about it. He told me the size was up to an 8 and it was the best hat he had ever owned. Like me he had many problems finding a hat that would fit. He said, you can only find it online though, so he let me take pics of it and the tag so I could go look at it online.
I'll let the website and videos tell you more about the details of it, but I can say it is without a doubt the best boonie style sun hat I have ever been able to find in my size. The hat is total quality....every inch of it. It's Columbia type material with a rigid yet bendable wire support in the brim edge. Well thought out extras like the quality strap for boat rides or the heavy winds in the field, a rigid twisted wire bendable brim that holds its shape unless you bend it with your own hands, a crown that zips off, and a neck cover that conveniently folks up into a pouch under the brim for those that need a little more neck protection.
I used it in mid- May for a Eurasian dove hunt and it was greatness. I even had to pull out the chinstrap for the 30-40mph gusts and it was a great hat for the sun and wind combo we had.. I like it so much I bought another one when I got home just in case. Looking forward to using it at teh lease during work weekends.
Its a little more expensive that your run of the mill hat but totally worth it in my mind.... .....especially for us bucketheads that have a hard time finding them. They also have hats for folks with normal heads and less brain capacity...
...
Anyway here is a website and a few pics! Be forewarned of the ugly...its coming.
