Well done. We were just over the hill from you in Vanderpool. Rivers and creeks are in great shape, and the beauty of that country is unprecedented.

What an awesome trip! Our group has been wanting to kayak/camp the Medina for a couple of years and we were finally able to make it happen this past weekend! It wasn't a disappointment!

I have to give credit to a fellow on YouTube, Gatewood Brown, for the inspiration with a couple of quality videos of his trips.

I reached out to Gatewood on Instagram and he was very generous in helping me plan the trip, identifying the best put-in and take out spots, ideal river flows and best camping spots. Be sure to check out all is videos of some great paddling areas in the Texas Hill Country.

We had some last minute additions, and made a late decision a day leading up to the trip to extend our paddle to the Pioneer RV Resort, where Les and Colette parked their RV. That allowed us to paddle farther on Sunday and still be able to relax Sunday evening and make our trip home on Memorial Day, Monday.

It's definitely a stretch we'll paddle again, hopefully soon!

Thanks for taking some awesome pics to recap the trip, Casey! I captured some video and hope to put together my summary of the trip soon!

I didn’t take nearly enough stills on this trip (thankfully Casey captured it perfectly!) It was a challenge to find a place for all 11 of us to hang hammocks and set tents, but we managed by splitting up on opposite banks. Here are a couple of views from my hammock. Weather was perfect for hammocking under the stars!

Colette stoked the fire early Sunday morning for our much needed campfire coffee!

Any outdoorsman would enjoy such a trip. I have a video clip I'll share later that helps demonstrate the beauty of the river.
