We are going through this process right now as we build our home. I highly recommend that you shop around negotiate. I was shocked at how high some of the lenders will start with their fees, points, etc. I found better.com to have the lowest rates and most competitive costs. (Outside what you might get through a builder incentive)They are primarily digital, but have contact center support for questions. You can set up a login and it will update the options daily automatically. Everything is super transparent.
