    Metal skin blind insulation question

I am building an R-panel 5x5 bow blind. I am wanting to insulate the inside to help keep heat and condensation down. I have seen the double sided bubble wrap insulation at Home Depot and was wondering how that would work as insulation-( spray adhesive to the metal walls and roof). The blind will be mostly in the shade.

Not sure bubble wrap will do anything but I have used spray adhesive with rigid foam insulation boards and it worked well.

I used 1” foil backed foam board and it worked great. Before you get too far down the road with a 5 x 5 bow blind you better take some measurements to make sure you can shoot your bow out of that size. I built a 5 x 6 and found I could only shoot out the ends of it. When I tried to come to full draw across the 5 foot width, my bow’s Riser would hit the front wall and my drawing arm elbow would hit the opposite wall just before the cam rolled over.

I have taken shots out of it. It’s a little tight but I don’t hit the sides.

That’s why I was considering the silver backed bubble wrap insulation. i won’t lose an inch of space that way.

Better go with a minimum 5x6 as when the time comes and that monster is in front of you and you draw back and bump the back or sides and he exits, you will wish you built it bigger You will not have much waste with a 5x6 or even a 6x6. Been there and done that and never again! If it is already built, you better be dang careful when you are drawing on a big buck.
Think of it this way, are you going to be concentrating on your shot placement on a big buck or how you are drawing the bow and if you will hit the sides of the blind. Just saying.

You will regret it if you don't make it 6X6. If you insist of 5X6 make 6' shooting depth.

X2 on this. If you buy any material that comes in 8 foot them making a 6x6 blind just makes sense for less waste

Not to mention R panel two sheets overlay width it 6 feet. Makes the corner trim work right as well.

At LEAST 6’ one way, and there’s no reason not to do 6’ both ways. I’m only 6’ y’all and drawing in 5’ is very tough...not counting the space you’ll lose from insulation. Then take into account needing to draw at a weird angle, moving your chair, and warm clothing.

                      Please go 6’.

On my metal blind I put great stuff in the groves and glued used carpet on the panels, works great.
