    Shipping container question

How do you guys deal with storing things long term/short term in the heat we have here in Texas? I get roof vents and put the container in the shade etc but like how do you cut in the roof vents? What kind of roof vents work best? Do you insulate them etc? Thanks in advance.

I have installed solar roof fan vents on my cousins sea box cross the road. With vents in the door and the fan on the other side. It keeps a good air flow.

My 40 ft. container came with small vents in each corner....but I don't worry about moving air through them it still gets hot inside...

My sister and BIL had two 40 ft containers full of all their household belonging in PHX for 3 years.. no vents other than the built in corner ones..
They had everything moved to east TX last year and no real damage to anything..
Not sure how the TX humidity would change that..

We have a bunch of Parts, Tooling and fasteners in a 40ft at the house we had to run a dehumidifier in it to keep it from sweating so much. Everything was rusting way to quick.
Same thing at one of our shops that we store tubing in.
