Dying phone

I guess I'm just hard on my phones because I've got another one slowly going bad. I bought the cheapest smart phone that the Sprint store had. I noticed that Wally World has smart phones as cheap as $40 and asked about getting one. The clerk said no because I'm on Sprint as it uses a different SIM card. Am I going to only be able to get another phone from Sprint? Does any one have any options for me?

There are certain ways to make a phone cheaper and one way is to use an inferior battery.

Just looked and Walmart has sprint phones for as cheap as $50. Or, you can just get an unlocked phone.
