    Wyoming Antelope

After a few years of building points I’m finally ready to go and need your advice.

I’ve got 2 points and willing to buy a special tag. Not looking for any top secret spots but pointed in the right direction. Researching units.

    Thanks!

Have you checked out gohunt? They have tons of current information to help narrow down a unit.

I have only been once, so certainly not an expert. I was told the east half of the state is easier to draw than the west half. We had zero points & didn't want to wait. We ended up in unit 1, the furthest NE (closest town was Hulett). Had a great hunt with added bonus of free prairie dog shooting, seeing Devils Tower and Mount Rushmore/Black Hills SD.

We did go with an outfitter. We saw literally countless antelope. I got mine the 1st day, my brother the 2nd. Shot prairie dogs the afternoon of the second and 3rd day. Also went to Devils Tower the 3rd day.

I will hunt again out there, but possibly closer to Gillette.

We drew last year in the eastern portion. Everyone tagged out minus our buddy who broke his ankle jumping off his truck bed. Saw lots of goats and lots of opportunities in a limited land area. When the land is hard access be prepared to move a lot to cover ground to find a good one. Also be sure to have onX maps and save the map you want to use offline so you can access where there is no service. It was crucial to our success.

I have some areas for you but via pm. If I put them out here public your odds may change.

            pm sent

I would try to avoid the far eastern side just due to less public lands for hunting.

Get another PP this July and keep buying them till you're ready to come up. Lots of good hunting with 2 or more PP. You don't need a whole bunch to draw a great area.
