    RV Park Port Aransas (suggestions)

Looking at going to Port A for the 4th of July.

Anyone have any suggestions for RV parks to stay at or to stay away from.

Will be two families with kids.

    Thanks!

I haven't been in years but my family always camped at Pioneer RV resort.

Jeremy, you had better hurry and book if you can find something. We are moving out of Port A RV on 361 to a long term in Tropical Island next week. I think they are both 100% booked for Memorial Day and 4th of July.

There are alot of condo units still not back online from Harvey, so more people staying in RVs.

Mustang Island Sate Park has RV hookups. They may be booked though. https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/m...ties/campsites

Mustang island state park is closed from the hurricane damage. My neighbor was telling me it didn’t look like it would re open because the hurricane moved the dunes in a way that he couldn’t see them putting the rv camping back in there.

Pioneer RV Park is always our favorite. The boardwalk over the dunes for golf cart access to the beach is an awesome perk.

Gulf Waters is very nice with larger spacings between RV sites. But, they didn't have beach access the last time we stayed there which means loading everything up and driving down the highway to the closest Beach Access Road.

Probably going to have to change destinations. Everywhere I call is booked up.

Gulf waters does have a boardwalk to beach and you can drive golf cart across it. In fact, it is much wider than Pioneer. GW is by far the best RV park in Port A and possibly on the entire Texas coast.
