Prepare your lower body for hunting in deadfall. You may, or will, encounter downed trees anywhere from 6" to 3 ' diameter lying on the ground or hung up 3 ft off of the ground. You will have to navigate over it and along it. It taxes your quads , hips and glutes. You will be wearing a pack and carrying a bow or rifle. It really adds up over several days so be ready for it.

We stayed at fairmount. The golf pub had really good food. Golf course has some great elk and parking lot tends to have the bigger Mulies. The park it’s self is gorgeous but from a ecology perspective terrible, lots of old growth protected timber.
I was actually shocked a lot of the guys that work at the higher end backpack shops are big DIY sheep hunters. Don’t be scared to representLast edited by Texans42; 05-22-2019, 01:26 PM.
