    ???? about spotlighting hogs???

I have seen alot of posts about people using a red light when spotting hogs, I just bought a new spotlight and it came with a yellow, blue and red lens adapter. what is the benefit if any of using a different color light for hogs. and is red the best one to use???? thanks for any help.

I am not an expert on this by any means. But, blue and red seem to be the two most used colors when spotlighting hogs. Those two colors the hogs do not seem to notice. I have never heard, read, or seen yellow being used for spotlighting. And, I would say that between red and blue, use the one that you can see better with.

I think the color lenses drop the Shock factor the Bright Spot light puts out without covering the lens. At short distances it makes a big difference. Long Distance, the white light is better. Remeber they live in the wild...anything noticably changes around them and boom there off

From my experiences, the colored lens cut down on the shadows made by the white(regular) light. I have used the HawgLite on my bow, turned it on(with blue lens) at 5 yards and pigs don't even look up from the corn....Of course, this is with the wind right.

          Good Luck
