Is by hand pulling it never dies and grows year round
Our county agent didn’t know what it is
The carrot root if broken or mowed comes right back
    Any idea

Yup, I agree. you can make money on it.

Horehound was first used medicinally in ancient Rome as an ingreint in the multi-ingredient poison antidotes

Got some of that stuff too... toughest weed I ever tried to get rid of... Every little root hair will make a new plant if you pull it up too! Keeping it mowed/chopped down close seems to get to it finally, either that or the Remedy i poured on the cut off stubble...

Horehound - GrazonNext HL has horehound listed as one of the weeds controlled. However, it is suppression only. I have sprayed GrazonNext HL on horehound when the plants are very small and it has killed many of them. Larger plants I end up pulling. The key is don't let them seed. If I had a large area of horehound I might try some of the what A&M says on page 6 for horehound control - http://forages.tamu.edu/PDF/B-1466.pdf

I have gotten it thinned out with hand pulling, bees love it and getting stung is a common problem. So I just wanted to spot treatment with chemicals , but will just stick with hand pulling

My father had a bunch of this weed in his yard. We gave it 2 good rounds of 2-4d and it seemed to kill it all.
