    Best Bluetooth Beach Speaker

I am going to be making a couple trips to the beach this summer with my family. I have a small Bluetooth speaker I have used in the past, but the sound doesn't carry much farther than the canopy that we have set up. I would like a speaker that will be loud enough over the sound of the waves and wind where we can hear it while playing washers.

    Any recommendations?

(And no, I am not going to be "that guy" that blasts music for the whole beach to hear.)

I have this one from academy. We use it at the frio every year and around the house. No complaints with mine, but they do make a bigger size for $50 more that was out of stock when I bought mine or I'd have bought it instead.

The wife bought an ION Tailgater, I've been impressed. Battery life is 12-14 hrs. Used it on and off for 3 days at the deer lease. Used it the following weekend for 5 hrs before it died. no charge in between. Had to fry chicken tenders for our Little League fundraiser. 8 big fryers going, had it set up about 10 yards away and did not have to have it maxed out.

Edit: you wouldn't be "that guy" but you could get close if you wanted

I have 4-5 blue tooth speakers but my favorite for sound quality is the bose soundlink II. It's one of the few speakers that has no distortion at max volume.

My JBL Charge 4 is pretty loud.

Keep them coming. I am looking at all the options posted.

I know there are some guys on here that spend time on the beach with speakers that they would recommend.

OontZAngle3 from Amazon. Small, blue tooth, waterproof but not sure if it will be loud enough for what you need? Plenty loud for us..good luck!

May be bigger than you want but we use it all the time. It floats and is waterproof. We take ours on the river, the lake, beach, use in our backyard. It’ll play for days on a charge.

JBT makes one with a carabiner on it. Not sure of model but we liked it.

Look into the UE Boom 2, UE Boom 3, UE MegaBoom, all of the UE speakers are great and you can pair them together to run multiple speakers from one phone through Bluetooth. I have a couple of them and so does my neighbor, we'll put them in each corner of the yard and pair them together when we hang out in the backyard and it's awesome. The UE Boom 2 is about as big as a tall boy, fits in a cup holder. The MegaBoom is about as big as a 1 liter bottle.

The UE Boom 2 is your best bang for your buck as it's an older model. You can get refurbished ones for about $60 on amazon, I paid $200 for my first one at Best Buy a few years ago when they came out.

^^^ Agreed. Since I carry and use mine, smaller but loud is what I was looking for. I've had 3 or 4 smaller models but they wouldn't get loud enough. My spin class instructor uses hers for class and it is plenty loud enough. I bought this and have been very satisfied. Small enough to carry in my pack and call coyotes.

What he said. I went with the megaboom 3, and am quite pleased with it. We are pretty rough on these speakers, but they just keep on working.
