Where to get protein feed and what feed to get.

I will be placing two gravity fed protein feeders with Coonhoods on them. This will be at my lease in Eldorado. I need a good place along the way to pickup protein feed at a great price. Any suggestions as to what feed, and where to get it?

I will be traveling 190 from Livingston, and passing through Bryan, Hearne, Temple, Killeen, Lampasas, San Saba, Brady, and Menard.

Call Brandon at Comptons - its right on Hwy 190 at the 83 intersection.

There's a newer feed store in Eldorado across the street from Subway. They have good prices; usually some at $10.50 & $12.50/50lbs, depending on % of protein.

I believe its called Divide Supply. It's across 190 from Cactus processing and across the street of W Mills from Subway.

                  Brown's in Lampasas.
I feed Hill Country 20% and its $10 per 50.
                  Corn is $6.10 and dirty.

I honestly think Mr. and Ms. Brown are immortal. What are they 110? They still get after it every single day with that 1930's cash register that is probably worth 20K.

Don’t know where to get it along the route you mentioned, but Lysse&Eckel is about as good as it gets when it comes to protein!!!!

May not need it for a while lol, I'm on the lease next to y'all, I was up there last weekend. And it sounds like we may have gotten 4" more rain up there yesterday.

There is a L&E dealer right on 190 in Richland Springs. The Feedlot. It’s on the left right before the School heading West. We buy ADM Rack Plus from Riggs Feed on 9th St. in San Saba. Hope this helps.
