When the NRA meeting was in Dallas and POTUS was there to speak could everyone carry a firearm? Last meeting that was in Indy we could but we didn’t have the POTUS there either.

During the 148th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, the carry of personal firearms will be permitted in the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, with the proper license in accordance with Indiana law. When carrying your firearm, always adhere to all Federal, state and local laws.

At the speaking event if the president is present then the secret service takes over and handles the event. The Leadership Forum Event is then screened by the secret service at the entrances. You are not allowed weapons of any kind in the event.
That was the way it was in Kentucky.
