Texan and Mexican patrols clash at New Washington.
New Washington is known today as Morgan's Point, located just north of LaPorte.

Houston moves his army to Buffalo Bayou. They move along the south side of Buffalo Bayou to the site of the Battle of San Jacinto.

J.C. Neill is wounded and replaced by G.W. Hockley.
A cavalry attack led by Sidney Sherman engages the Mexican army.
