    replacing Pool Lights

Time to replace the lights in the pool. Fixtures are bad so this is a complete replacement. Pool has 2 lights. Looking for suggestions/recommendations. Currently 120v system with color Led bulbs. trying to decide on going back with the normal amerlite 500w 120v fixture with a color LED bulb or moving to a 12volt LED system. any recommendations?

Hmmmm. I am ready to replace mine with a LED lamp, but my housing is solid.

Jay I had moved to led lamps and liked them. Just make sure you get the casket kit when you replace them. I just ordered the bulbs off of amazon.

My previous pool had a Pentair LED with LED color controller. Never had problems. Kids loved the different light colors.

Don't drain all the way!! If it is and we have heavy rain, before you refill, it could float! Then, $$$$$$$$$$

J&J Electronics is a great light option with 3 year warranty
A little less expensive than Pentair intellibrite 5g too

I have Pentair LED lights in mine with different colors. One of them is acting like it has to warm up or something and blinks a couple of times when I turn them on.

12v are required in City now, that is why they are gaining in popularity. 12v is considered safer. You do need a transformer with them. We install both.

BPS we are outside the city so we can put either. since you install is there system you like/recommend or one to stay away from? The reviews on the Pentair don't seem to be that good. the J&J one mentioned above has better reviews.

I had Pentair LEDs (not sure which model or power rating) installed in our pool when it was built and they have bene nothing but trouble. Only 2 years old and need to replace them. I have two lights an they never synchronize, always different colors and never the color they are supposed to be.

They all have had issues, especially with the 12v version. I have Hayward Color Logic 110volt in my pool/spa and have never had an issue. We put them in half our pools and We rarely have an issue with the them. We have had a lot problems with the 12v Crystal Logic(white only).

What is recommended for LED lamp only (retro to 110 system)?
