    Yes...yes.....I feel so dirty..

Not really but good grief what a good shooting and feeling bow that Traverse was... After 8.5 years with an Elite and a bow I never thought I would replace, I did make the switch. Of course, I was Mathews before I jumped to Elite back in late 2010.....

I'm still a big fan of the HTR. It's going to be hard to give it up (to my new SIL). I'd advise against shooting the Traverse, though.

The Traverse is where I landed. I shot the Triax last year, and the extra length axle-to-axle is such a welcome change. I feel like I'm already shooting it better than the Triax, and I've only had it for a couple of weeks.

I got my Traverse a few weeks ago, typically I keep my bows for 5 or 6 years before upgrading, I took my Bowtech in for a new string and the ol boy hands me one the Traverse models and a handful of arrows, said go play with it while I restring. Sucker. I had to wait over month for mine to show up and I got the Realtree Edge camo.

Two years ago I bought a Bowtech Reign 7 and shot it a lot, the grip is much thinner than the Traverse. Had to re learn my grip with the Traverse, but I believe it is smoother on the break over and seems to be faster. I have not shot over a chronograph with it yet, I will try to soon. My arrows weigh in at 470 grains and the Bowtech slings them at 280 fps.

Why? Because it's the Indian not the arrow.

That's the same bow Ive been shooting since 2006.....until I shot the new Traverse. Switchback is now retired

A friend went and shot multiple bows last week. He ended up with the Traverse.

I stopped by Brush To Bay Outfitters to visit with Tim Layton about these two 2019 bows from Mathews Archery, Inc. Watch this video to find out which one I'll be shooting in 2019 and why I chose one over the other.

What is your favorite bow model for 2019? Why?

I did not get a chance to shoot these two bows yet. Probably because i would be in the doghouse for a long time after splurging on the Triax last year. If the Traverse or Vertix have improved over the Triax, the deer better watch out.

I’m not even sure how much better the bows can get.
I’m shooting out to 60 yards with acceptable accuracy (to me).

And this is my comfort zone, 30 yards.

Killed my biggest hog with it. Not sure weight, but i entered right behind leg, broadhead was hanging out other side.
Shooting 436 grains at 306 fps. 29.5” draw 70#. With a mechanical head as well
