Cost of Brick

Took down garage doors and built a wall and am bricking it in to match the rest of house. Never did anything with brick before so we got someone to do it but we need to buy the brick. He estimated about 500 bricks. How do they come? By pallet or individual? Also what kind of cost could I expect for that many bricks?
