You have to give the shooter room to land. It was a pretty easy call to make. Even Charles Barkley admitted it was a foul. Tough way to loose, but if it’s a foul in the first half it’s a foul with seconds to go.Comment

That foul call was the right call even though I have seen worse foul calls overlooked at the end of the game than that one, but it was the right call. Auburn was their own worse enemy too. The blown double dribble call would have ended the game but also the foul they made immediately after that gave Virginia another life as time would have ran out on a very bad desperation 3 point attempt.Comment

I agree that was a double dribble but I am pretty sure it was not the only missed call in the game. Referees miss calls more often than most people realize. One extra possession in a basketball game generally means nothing, however this one was at the end of a close game. I truely believe that even the Aburan players will say they should have not let it get to a point where a bad call or a missed call by an official would cost them the game. a made free throw versus the missed one with 7 seconds to go on the other end would have meant over time.
