I’ve got critters at my new place......

So we finally closed on our slice of Texas east of RS on the 28th. My boy and I made a quick trip last Saturday morning to set up 1 feeder and a game came. I still need to stake down the feeder and finalize the position of the game cam, but it appears that the pig or piggies found the feeder 2 days after setting up. The deer followed a few days after that. And of course the little bandits made their appearance too. I’m super excited to start our adventures at our very own place. BTW, taking a leak off the back porch feels awesome! Lol

Good deal. Move your feeder closer to the brush line and buy some hog panels to keep hogs out if you want deer. Put another feeder for pigs if you want to shoot pigs. That's what I did I have two deer pens and one without panels and have plenty hog opportunity. Jmo.

We bought 20ac with a small house off of Hwy41 east of RS.

Yes, I built it last year when I got on with a lease near San Diego TX, aka “no deer lease” LOL.
