I know that we don’t have any and I don’t want any. I think they’d really damage the landscape where I live. There have been some fairly close to us in the past, but not in any huge number. People are pretty hard on them around here & landowners aren’t near as sensitive.
The problem is that they learn far faster than deer and other game animals, and that makes killing them very difficult in the long run. We shot them at feeders, they quit going to them. We trapped them, they stopped entering the traps. We hunted them at night, they won't go to bait at all now. We flew a helicopter survey, they hid and not one was seen. They're just smart.

I ambush them at my feeder and that sounder is gone.............
