    Hunting in Scotland

Has anyone ever done this? Wife wants to go to Scotland in 2020 and they have Roe deer, stag and fallow just to name a few. If I’m going, I wouldn’t mind trying a hunt there at least for a Roe deer.

I have not but I'd love to! If you do, post lots of pics.

I went years ago and went stalking for red stag. It is open land stalking. I went with a fishing guide that did stag hunts on the side. Cost about 350 in Scottish money. The country is unbelievable and I saw lots of stag. Did not get to shoot but it was an awesome experience.

One of my A&P's did a few years ago, said it was unforgettable. Other than that, I've got nothing for you. I'd like to go after a roe and red deer.

beautiful country and very friendly people. I went in 92' and killed a nice hill stag and a sika stag. I'd go back in a second.

            I'd love to as well.

We are planning a trip in the next 3-4 years. My fathers side came over from Scotland in 1765 and my wife's from Ireland in the 1960s.

Man that was a good write up on your trip, you helped me lock in the Roe as a 1st choice. I also didn’t know there were that many different animals there, thanks.

You're welcome. The red deer I got is in my avatar. The Roe deer did in fact make CIC silver medal. Those hills are tough. Hope your legs are ready.
