Platform Weather Protect?

Built a bow platform last season and was wondering if anyone does anything to protect theirs in the offseason?

I tend to over think things and was actually thinking of putting down some corrugated galvanized steel roofing panel to keep the sun and rain off it.

I have a similar platform and was planning to do something like a deck sealer. May just lather it with Thompson’s.
