    Another weed question

How do I kill this stuff?!?! I cut it down with my weed eater and it came back stronger. I sprayed it with some stuff I bought at Home Depot called ground clear and it is greener now.

It looks similar to mint but it is not.

I think it was planted on purpose at some point. It is in this rock bed at the office I am leasing. I’m trying to clean the place up some and this is not helping things

Hit it with a combination of Round up and Barricade... combo of killer and pre-emergent...

It sure looks like mint. When did you spray? In the cooler months it can take a week or so before the death begins from spraying Gly. If it has been more than 2 weeks you might want to try some other product. I assume what you used is a gly.

My grandfather called it beggar's mint. It's a PITA, but Slick's suggestion above will handle it.

It looks like mint to me also but smells like grass. It is all over the place at the back of my property. I sprayed it a couple days ago. You are prob right I didn’t wait long enough. I’m used to seeing stuff turn brown in 24-36 hours in the summer

It looks like the same stuff that's in my flower beds, if so- - sorry to say, life is over as you know it, sell the property and move! Well that may be a bit drastic but it is definitely a pia! I still haven't got rid of it, hate to take out all the rose bushes and have to start over.

I sprayed my garden down Saturday morning with gly. It still looks like nothing has happened. When I owned land it would take a couple weeks in the spring to take full affect. Hot summer time it would kill off grass/weeds in a few days.

I killed green briar and poison ivy after multiple spraying of a 50:50 mixture of concentrated glycosophate and diesel. Might work on this stuff.

Friend of mine swears by using cleaning vinegar with some dish soap mixed in---kills broadleaf and grassy weeds too.
