    Crabgrass

Any home remedy secrets out there for killing crab grass in Bermuda? Seems like I’ve tried all the over the counter junk to no avail. Couple thick spots I should probably just round up and start over.

    Any info?

You sure it’s crab grass? Kinda early for it.

For crab grass in existing bermuda use 2-4-D.

It is early for crabgrass though. Could it be poa annua?

The best thing for crabgrass is to get it before you got it. Use a preventer and a pre emergent.

            Thought it looked similar anyway.

Are you sure 2 4 D will kill crab grass? MSMA will do better.

It does on North Georgia crabgrass. The best thing is to treat the Bermuda in the fall and late winter with preventer and pre emergent so the crabgrass never comes up.

                I've never tried MSMA.

                  2 4 D is for broadleaf weeds.

I’ve got some of that crap too. I’ll be listening to the suggestions as well.

If I didn't have green crabgrass, I wouldn't have anything green in my yard.

^this... 24D won’t do anything to the crabgrass. MSMA is only thing I’ve found that will kill it. I’ll be tuned in to hear if any others have found success battling it with something else.

Following this one. I have the same problem and mine is starting to pop up. I actually have Grayson in the amazon cart now and ready to give anything a try. It’s starting to take over the yard and pasture.

MSMA (Target 6) is the only thing I've tried that works. 2, 4D did not.

Type of winter grass not crabgrass. Revolver or Envoke will smoke it. Also if you want to kill crabgrass in Bermuda use Pastora. MSMA mixed with Sencor will kill it also but will yellow your Bermuda grass.
