Just watched some of the videos from last night. Pretty pathetic. I just can't understand damaging other's property and vehicles to celebrate a win.

I'm glad to see them advance, but they're embarrassing themselves and the town by acting so stupid. Hope they get it together in the event they win it all.

I’m not condoning the behavior, but this is a town of 300k, and a university of 40,000. There were maybe 3 dozen folks involved in an area the size of a 3 car garage. It’s been blown a little out of proportion. The entire city was celebrating last night and less than 1% made an ***** of themselves

It was my first or second year at Tech ('80 or '81) on a Halloween weekend that Tech pulled out an unexpected victory over ranked Texas. The fans just poured out into the streets and onto University Avenue and it got crazy. People turning over cars and lighting them on fire. We went back to our dorm room which faced University and watched in amazement. It was like a war zone.

Sad that we haven't progressed from that. Though it just takes a few bad apples to make the whole university and city look bad.

That said, go Tech. I'm giving serious consideration to just driving up to see the finals. Auburn fans are selling their tickets and rooms in droves.

4 cars flipped, scooters and furniture set on fire, University Ave. shut down around Tech and tear gas used to break up the crowds. These are the reports I am seeing along with the vidoes posted, but not sure if these reports are true. Seems like if these are true, more than 3 dozen people would have been involved, AND, how many WERE NOT students that were involved. Police have said they are gathering videos and statements from people and will arrest people if warrantied.

Honestly, it is a stain on Texas Tech, but probably happens at more universities than Tech, we just do not hear about it.

Congrats to Tech on an amazing season and a team than can shut down the best when needed. They had Michigan State stumped and shut down last night. Michigan State had no idea what to do when they got the ball on their side of the court.
