What the heck are these dens?!

We live outside Midland, just moved here a little over a year ago. I’ve been walking the pasture quite a bit lately. I have come across a goodly number of these “dens” but do not know what they are!

They all seem to have multiple small entrances, coyote crap on top, and tons of mesquite beans leading into and strewn everywhere!

Pack rat dens. Have them all over the lease in Atascosa county. Just pray they don't start one under your camper. Ask me how I know.

Pack rats, they were real bad where we lived in midland. Those rats caused thousands of dollars in damage to our vehicles. Check under your hood once a week.
