Yeah I agree with this, those comments just keep it from getting buried so look at the benefit. I'd also venture that most serious buyers will PM instead of replying on the thread.

I find this statement to be true. In fact I have lost and won many buys sells because of a PM before or never a REPLY to the thread.

Something else we should remove is "I'll take it".....and then disappearing, not returning PMs or emails, at all, for days. Here's an idea.....Ask your wife BEFORE you claim it. If you can't make a purchase without her permission, then just refrain.

Hah. I bought something on another board drove into Houston to meet the guy and he never showed up and wouldn't answer his cell phone.

I finally got a home number for him and called his house. His wife answered and I asked to speak to her husband because he didn't show, stiffed me on a sale and she promptly informed me he had passed away on the day he was supposed to meet me.

So sometimes people just can't make it to a sale or a purchase.
