The doc I saw also stated they were buzzing the bus trying to wake up oz...just imagine the carriers & music from rr, Hendrix, almond & srv we would be blessed with if not for untimely deaths.
I agree with you bob...maybe just age / time in life but rr is way up there on my favorite axe swingers!! Overflowing talent

Any good Ozzy stories out there?
I had Diary of a Madman on 8 track.
My story: I was coming back from bass fishing a local lake(early 80's)while jamming to this tape. I had my poles in the bed of the truck. One of them was a custom made pole. I was hauling butt(the music)and turned a corner way to fast and my trolling motor battery slid rapidly across the bed of my truck and crushed my poles against my fender well..
I remember it like it was yesterday...

Awesome player and was headed back to UCLA to get his masters before the tragic crash. He was sober, the bus driver/pilot was not. Big loss. He changed modern rock by influencing Ozzy with more complex cord progression, key choices and complexity in Ozzy’s solo start.
Inspired thousands of young players. I listen to something he played almost everyday.

The whole Tribute album is probably one of the best live recordings ever.
And Crazy Train has to be Ozzy's best love song.
