    Maverick 6 Shooter Blind Base

For those that have a 6 Shooter blind, how wide is the flange that you bolt down the blind to the base and what diameter does the base need to be? I'm seeing 81", but not real clear if that is correct.

Don't have blinds yet but will be building bases shortly

I have 2 of them and just built 2 4'x8' platforms and screwed them together when I got them in place. Put the blind on top and screwed it down to the platform. Works great and both have survived some horrific winds and 1 tornado!

The flange is a good 3-4" or so. I have mine on a 8'x8' square platform which allows for there to be room to stand on it while opening the door. You could probably get away with a 7'x7' platform or so, but not much room left to stand on the platform outside the blind.

Thanks....my OCD won't let me put a round blind on a square base! Trying to find out the OD of the flange once it's assembled. It will have a stair and landing to get in/out of the door.

The outside of the flange is right at 6’6” & the inside is 6’

Believe me the square corners still aggravate me, but I will live with it. Get a 3 pack of Krylon camo spray paint, a couple of hackberry limbs with leaves and your good to go.

My base is 84" circle when its bolted down. Do your self a favor before you mount the blind on your base. Put a big bead of good silicone caulk on the base flange before you mount it.

Yes! Thats one of the reasons I want my base diameter flush /under with the blind flange....so I don't have rain running in.....as much! It will be treated, but wet moldy carpet is not good!

I would not put carpet inside. Your gonna have a few leaks around the windows and doors. Best off putting rubber mat from TSC down. You can take the rubber mat out and let the floor dry if it gets two wet.

The door leaks the worst, I bought a drip edge from Maverick that goes above the door and it took care of that. A few drips come thru the windows where they are hinged, but it aint that bad.
