If your land is not currently leased for minerals would you allow a company to do a seismic survey? They leased the place next to me where I have minerals and were going to lease this place as well. Then they didn't.

I had it done on a place I owned 25 years ago. They said they would pay $25 a hole and only needed to shoot one hole on my 10 acres. I got home before they left and saw that they had shot two holes. I braced them about the extra hole and they paid up but I'm pretty sure if I hadn't caught it they would have gotten a free hole.
