    Roomba Question

Do any of y’all have a Roomba or similar for cleaning your floors? We have laminate or tile in all but one room of the house. My wife wants one for her birthday.

    Thanks,
    Skooter

Have one and they are great. Go to dinner and turn it on as you walk out. Come home and floors are done. That said they are not perfect but it sure helps.

Good topic. We’ve been looking as well. How about pet owners? We’ve got 3 dogs, not bad shedders but doing potty training with a pup and she’s had a few accidents. I’ve see those pictures of them smearing **** all over the place. Can you program them, or just manually set them off?

Run one every day. Does a great job.

Only complaint is the dam thing is LOUD.

Let me define LOUD. I won't get out of bed and go downstairs until its finished.

I'm considering buying three (one of the den, kitchen, and front room) just to speed up cleaning the floors.

Why three? Did I mention the thing is LOUD?

I've been to Ft Polk, on site to see the 141 Washington Field Artillery lay a barrage and it was quieter.

You do have to empty it daily, but it beat the heck out of pulling out the broom and mop for the hardwood floors.

What’s a good size or model ? There’s a lot of choices, and some get expensive

We have a Deebot. Same thing I think. It’s awesome.

Loved ours for the most part. Won't keep floors squeaky clean but will get most. Corners, and other areas will still need attention. Had ours programmed to run when every body was @ work. It just worked the downstairs but that is where most of the dirt is in our house.
She would get stuck in small places. 1/2 restroom, 5x5 with just a toilet & vanity, it would get behind the door and couldn't get out. under couches chairs and legged cabinets. We would often have to go looking for it and rescue it.
She worked good (in programmed mode) for about a year, then she got forgetful. Wouldn't start when programmed, Sometimes she would run until she ran out of juice. Or she couldn't figure out how to get onto the charging stand. Trying for 30 min. and I would feel sorry for her and put her onto it.
Finally I gave it to our daughter. She just runs it in manual mode when @ home. helps it onto the charger when she's ready for it to stop. It's now on it's 3rd year.

Have worn out 2 of them, on our third now. Wife loves them.
We have tile floors with area rugs.
Wife and daughter have long blonde hair and it gets tangled around the brushes.
Over the years of use we have had multiple cats and dogs in the house. Amazing how much hair hits the floor. these vacuums keep the hair picked up but you do have to empty daily.
Buy them at Costco and if they break or malfunction you can return them. We had one that was just not right... returned for a new one with no issues.

We got the Eufy. It's a game changer. Especially for laminate.

They do a good job although mine gets stuck under couch and cabinets 2-3 times a day. After 2 years it’s never made it back to the charger. Lol

But before it gets itself stuck it does a good job
